Do I need permission to make an AI rap video of someone?

Consent, likeness and posting an AI rap video

Yes. Only upload a photo of someone who has explicitly agreed to appear in an AI-generated video, and only if they are an adult. No minors, no celebrities or public figures, no intimate or humiliating use, and no presenting the output as real footage. The same rules are published in our Acceptable Use Policy.

Who can be in the video

  • Adults who have agreed to appear in an AI-generated video.
  • You need permission from every face you upload, even for a birthday surprise — check before you post it.
  • No minors, even with a parent's permission.
  • No celebrities, public figures or anyone used to imply an endorsement.

What the output is

The video is a synthetic performance: a model-generated face and voice, not a recording of the real person. It should not be presented as real footage. If you post it, say that it is AI-generated — a simple caption is enough.

If someone asks you to take it down

Remove the post and email support@rapworks.store with the video link so we can remove the render and review the account. Reports are reviewed against our Acceptable Use Policy, and confirmed violations lead to removal, suspension or a permanent ban.

Questions

Can I surprise a friend with a birthday rap without asking?
You need their permission to upload their photo. Many people are happy to be in one, but asking first is the rule; a surprise can still work if they have agreed to the AI video beforehand.
How do I report someone else's video?
Email support@rapworks.store with the link, the account email if known, and a short description. We acknowledge reports within two business days.

Make one from two photos

RapWorks turns two photos into a lip-synced rap duet with original lyrics, vocals and a beat. Account required; one credit per render, passes from $4 a video.
